We arent talking about the HOF in Canton, we are talking about the Saints hall of fame. I detest the guy and hate his guts, but he did bring us alot of memories and helped make us playoff contenders. Its not like our organization is overflowing with elite players in our past, so as much as i hate to say it i guess he probably should get in.

Damn i guess I did??? HA I did it on the iphone..Sorry ha, but it's is still no
|
People can hate all they want... They mostly do it because the remember him as he went out.
But that aside he was a breathe of fresh air and stepped into a starting role from out starter who got hurt. All he did was come in and win. He deserves a lot of credit for his accomplishments and shame on anyone who tries to take that away from him. |
I think he deserves to be in the Saints Hall of Fame.....just think the past 12 years we have only had 1 terrible season.....1 season that we were not in playoff talks and that was 2005 after Katrina...... 6 years with Brees and 6 years with Brooks....... Like it or not he is a Top 5 Saints QB

Just my opinion.
No. Winning seasons alone aren't enough to justify a spot in the HOF. You should be outstanding at what you do. |
Be it Saints or NFL.. The Hall of Fame is a prestigious appointment that should never be diluted by people who just did x.
I was at the game when Bobby Hebert was appointed to the Saints Hall of Fame. I couldn't believe my ears. If your not willing to possibly retire a Jersey with that players name on it then maybe they do not belong in the Saints Hall of Fame. Aaron Brooks is no gawd damned Ricky Jackson, Sam Mills, Willie Roaf, Archie Manning, or Morten Anderson.... Do not dilute their prestige by Adding Aaron Brooks. 10 years from now how in the hell can you have Aaron Brooks and Drew brees on the same frikken list, other than "Past Saints Players". The Saints Present Hall of Fame: Saints Hall of Fame Inductees 1988--Archie Manning (QB) and Danny Abramowicz (WR) 1989--Tommy Myers (S) and Tom Dempsey (K) 1990--Billy Kilmer (QB) 1991--Derland Moore (DT) and Tony Galbreath (RB) 1992--George Rogers (RB), Jake Kupp (G), and John Hill (C) 1993--Joe Federspiel (LB) 1994--Jim Finks (GM) and Henry Childs (TE) 1995--Bob Pollard (DE) and Doug Atkins (DE) 1996--Dave Whitsell (DB) and Dave Waymer (DB) 1997--Rickey Jackson (LB) and Stan Brock (T) 1998--Dalton Hilliard (RB) and Sam Mills (LB) 1999--Bobby Hebert (QB) and Eric Martin (WR) 2000--Vaughan Johnson (LB) and Pat Swilling (LB) 2001--Hoby Brenner (TE) and Jim Wilks (DE) 2002--Jim Mora (Coach) and Frank Warren (DE) 2003--Wayne Martin (DE) and Jim Dombrowski (G/T) 2004--Rueben Mayes (RB) and Steve Sidwell (Ast. Coach) **2005--No induction due to Hurricane Katrina** 2006--Joel Hilgenberg (C/G) 2007--Joe Johnson (DE) 2008-Willie Roaf (T) 2009-Morten Andersen (K) 2010-Joe Horn (WR) That being said... Some of these names look like they picked from a hat because there was nothing better. |

PLease: 2004 - 8-8 2003 - 8-8 2002 - 9-7 2001 - 7-9 2000 - 10-6 (in fairness, Jeff Blake played most of the year) This dude is a interception and fumbling machine. He had 13+ fumbles every year above except 2000, which is only because he only played 8 games. Still managed to fumble 6 times though. This dude needs to be in the Saints Hall of Shame!! |

This thread is closing because Brooks has not been added to the Saints HOF for 2 years since this started.
Haven't heard Brooks nominated. When he is nominated again, we can re-open debate. |
Averaging 30 Points a game is good enough for me. Put him in!
