Does The Fire Burn as intensely now as it did last year?
There was no doubt that last years Superbowl Champions were intensely motivated. I was wondering, does the coach bring the intensity? Do the players bring the intensity? Will we have the same locker room chemistry? The question is, does the fire burn as intensely now as it did last year?

Re: Does The Fire Burn as intensely now as it did last year?
I think it does, only because other teams and other fans are saying "Awe! the Saints were a one hit wonder, they won't even make the playoffs this year" or "The Saints won't repeat". Things like that, IMO, only go to fire up a team more to prove the doubters and the Blah! Blah! Blah! brigade wrong!
I can't wait for the season to begin again! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!! |
Re: Does The Fire Burn as intensely now as it did last year?
If it isn't now, they better stir up the embers and get it burning again before training camp. The nay-sayers still don't think the Saints deserved to win it all last year. Back-to-back championships probably won't even shut them up. They will find another reason to doubt. However, their numbers would decrease if the Saints won it all again. More people would realize that this team is for real. It is up to the Saints to prove it.

It better, we don't want to be a one hit wonder.

Oh the FIRE is still there. There is no HC more focussed than Sean Payton and then you have "well that was perfection, now be better' Gregg Williams. So the TEAM ethic will be where we want it. So then it is down to individual players to want it and any slackers are gone.
