Pierre Thomas According to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, unsigned restricted free agent Pierre Thomas isn't close to getting a contract extension "Nothing's really evolved or escalated to this point," says LaCanfora. The Saints threw out an offer a couple of months ago, and they've been reluctant to go higher. Though beat writer Jeff Duncan has stated that the deal will "get done," LaCanfora maintains that nothing is imminent. |

I wouldn't trust Jason LaCanfora in anything he says. I believe serious negotiations are ongoing between the two sides, and a deal (nowhere near Stephen Jackson money) will be struck before training camp.
The Saints are also probably negotiating with Roman harper (don't know about Lance Moore). |
