this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If I was him, I would hold out for a similar contract to Marion Barber but that is just me... or it should at least be the bargaining point. If not there, at least in the realm of Michael Turner's ...

If not there, at least in the realm of Michael Turner's which PT's agent referenced to (not Steven Jackson's). Turner signed a six-year, $34.5 million contract with the Falcons in March of 2008.... with $15 million guaranteed. And BTW, at the time Turner was awarded that contract his production was no where near what Pierre has put up. All of this cheap talk is closet Reggie favoritism and ultimately detrimental to the potency of the Saints. Pierre was the most productive player on the whole team, right behind Brees. Not to mention, a team coming off of a Super Bowl win. |
