Reggie Bush, Jeremy Shockey and Roman Harper were notable no-shows at the New Orleans Saints' voluntary OTA Monday morning. The team will have two more OTAs this offseason - one Tuesday and one Wednesday - and will have team meetings and film study Thursday, the day after the Super Bowl ring ceremony.

Saints Coach Sean Payton said he spoke to Bush on Sunday night, but not Shockey or Harper. Payton said he doesn't anticipate the attention surrounding Bush and the NCAA sanctions on USC to affect Bush's mindset on the Saints practice field.

"I know Reggie is flying today," Payton said. "This is something that's affecting USC now. (Bush's) focus is squarely on us being successful and him being the best player he can be. I don't see it being a distraction."

Payton said "nothing has happened today" regarding the contract status of Saints restricted free agents Pierre Thomas, Roman Harper, Lance Moore and Jammal Brown. The deadline for NFL teams to lower their offers to restricted free agents is June 15 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

"I don't know if the guys we're waiting on, the restricted free agents, whether (their contract status) will affect if they come for the last couple of OTAs because these are voluntary regardless if players are under contract or not," Payton said.
