Here's what Randy Mueller thinks of Brooks

Randy Mueller: I think Aaron's leadership skills have been challenged..his laughing and smileing on the sidelines last week in their blowout loss to the Colts was hard to watch...I know he's a great kid but losing can't be that much fun...I'd like to see him take it personnally and step up and be accountable...he has all the skills to be a star but the intangibles are missing at present... |

Is this an actual link or did you just make this up?
I can see Mueller saying exactly that though. |

I\'ve tracked down the link to that comment. The question and answer come about 16th on the list. I truly wish Mueler was still helming our ship. We\'d be much better off!

I\'d pay real money to hear Mueller say, \"Brooks is a mental defective.\"
Or my own personal favorite, \"Aaron Brooks is Jeff George for a new generation.\" |

Looks to me like all the complaints I hear from everyone on here are directly related to the coaches and players that Mueller brought in. Maybe I missing something? Be sure to let me know !!! |

Billy, you\'re funny. When we criticize Brooks you say it\'s unfounded. Just look at what he\'s done, and \"I\'ll trust the coaches, who watch this guy every day in practice over you nimrods any day.\"
But when the guy responsible for bringing him in says something like that - which to me translates into: \"We gave him a shot b/c he has all the physical gifts, but as of yet he has been unable to prove he has any of the untangibles needed to be a successful NFL QB.\" - you AGAIN shift blame from Aaron. Let\'s consider. I give Meuller credit for McAllister, Horn, Pathon, Stallworth, Bentley, Howard, and Grant on the plus side - A good part of our O-line, Carter, Bellamy, and Sloan on the bad side. Hand, Brooks, and a few others are toss-ups. The Loomis/Haslett debacle gets credit for such greats as Orlando Ruff, Tebucky Jones, Gravy Jackson, Ashley Ambrose, and a whole slew of other draft picks that we know nothing about b/c even with this team being as bad as it is, they still can\'t crack the starting lineup. AND LOOMIS AND HASLETT HAD MORE MONEY, MORE PICKS, AND MORE FREEDOM TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANTED THIS OFFSEASON THAN MEULLER EVER DID!!! Now, here\'s my favorite part of your argument. So far, you\'re blaming COACHING, along with injuries, as the reason for the Saints decline this season. Well Billy, WHO IS MAKING THE DECISION TO START BROOKS EVERY WEEK?!?!?! You have no confidence whatsoever in the coaches\' abilities to evaluate talent in the offseason, draft a game plan, or use their talent correctly at any position on the field EXCEPT AT QB?!?! Check your logic Billy. If Never-Haz-Been and McCarthy are really to blame for the Saints woes, then how you can cling to the one belief that they stress most adamantly and pigheadedly and then call us crazy for not believeing is beyond me. WhoDat --
My arguement had nothing to do with Brooks. The fact is that 90% of the players that are here now and ALL of the coaches were brought in by Mueller. Sure, Mueller brought in a lot of players. But, Mueller was here the past two years when this team collapsed. So, I ask you, how good of a job did Mueller really do? Everyone is calling for all of the caoches to be replaced. Who hired the coaches WhoDat. Who got rid of Glover and Joe Johnson? Seems to me that Mueller is much more responsible for this team than one draft without him. |

I\'ll tel you what Billy, give me Meuller and a coaching staff that doesn\'t include Haslett, McCarthy, and Venturi, and I\'ll build you a winner. You assume that Meuller had a choice in who the Head coach was. I don\'t think that he did. I think Haslett was hired by Benson, and the assistants were a combo of Haslett and Benson, NOT MEULLER. Meuller\'s job is to bring in talent. Hve the Saints EVER had a more talented team? EVER?!?!?
