I got the email from the Saints Team Shop for about $25, and was about to order it.
Then I saw it on amazon for $13.95. Unless they're giving the extra $11 to some charity, I'm going with amazon!

Is it worth it?? oh yea... a MUST for any Saint fan or really anyone remotely interested in our story.. here is a favorite excerpt from the first 180 pages i have read so far

SP is concerned heading into MFN in 2006 that the team might be overwhelmed with the moment and emotions... He decides to have a full practice in the Dome on the Friday night before considering most of the players had never played a home game there..

So they have the practice.. full pads.. When its over he calls the team to mid field and has some words of encouragement etc... he then touches his hat as a cue and the whole stadium goes dark.... then the jumbo screens light up with the 5 minute documentary on the return to New Orleans to be played live at the stadium on Monday Night.. scenes of the water rising.. the storm... the doors with "X" marks signifying the number of dead after the storm... and then the lights come back on and for a few moments... minutes maybe... no one says a word... he said it was the most powerful moment he had ever experienced.... and he said "this is why you are here... this is what you are playing for... these are the people you are playing for... feel this emotion now.. and when you get here Monday be focused on football

Wow.... I remember telling Falclown fans before the game... you may be a better football team right now (they were not)... but there is NO WAY you are winning tonite.... so little did I know...lol

I read 25 Chapters yesterday ... As a SAINTS fan --- it's a must read. SP shares some serious insight and I literally laughed out loud at times. I loved how he told Reggies agent "F&CK YOU" when the agent told him "Don't draft him - he doesn't want to play in New Orleans."

Also, the waterslide stuff during training camp was hilarious ... Just a great read. More than anything it proved to me that just like in any great organization ... An NFL team is no different - Real leaders go in and CHANGE the culture while managers simply operate in the one that already exists. SP truly led New Orleans --- the team AND the city.
