Saints to take Gulf South Championship Tour

The Super Bowl Champion New Orleans Saints announced today a "Championship Tour" featuring the Lombardi Trophy throughout the Gulf South region during the month of July.

"We are excited to share the Vince Lombardi Trophy and our World Championship with the most deserving fans in all of sports," said Saints Owner/Executive Vice-President Rita Benson LeBlanc. "Nowhere is the bond between a team and its fans stronger than with the Saints and our fans in the entire Gulf South region. We are very proud of the positive attention this Championship has brought our city, state and region and encourage all of our fans to come celebrate their Championship with us."

"Our fans are the inspiration and foundation of our success, it is important to me and our organization to share these symbols of our Championship with as many of our fans throughout the Gulf South as possible," said Saints Owner Tom Benson.

Well now that just bites! I've been whining that they hav'nt been to Shreveport, and when they finally come, I'll be out of town on business. I'm pissed!

Me and my wife will be there Thursday one of the players will be there but they haven't announced which one read it in the paper yesterday. We will wear our Rickey Jackson Jersey

Pics from the Championship Tour. I have to apologize for the quality. I got back into town with about 30 minutes left to get to the convention center. I didn't get to change clothes or get a decent camera. I used my Iphone, hence the crappy pics, but it's the best I could do. Enjoy.

New Orleans Saints add Alexandria to "Championship Tour"

The New Orleans Saints have added a stop in Alexandria as part of their Gulf South "Championship Tour" in July.

Kerry Maloney/The Times-PicayuneA New Orleans Saints Super Bowl ring will be on display on the team's "Championship Tour" around the Gulf Coast.
The "Championship Tour" will visit Alexandria on July 14 at the Alexandria Riverfront Center. The tour will include memorabilia from the Saints' 31-17 victory against the Indianapolis Colts on Feb. 7, including the Vince Lombardi Trophy and an official Super Bowl ring.
