10 Questions with Saints waterboy Guillaume De La Fontaine
Guillaume De La Fontaine is entering his third season, as the New Orleans Saints, head of aquatic distribution. He mastered his craft, at James Dewey Junior High School, in Picayune, MS, before he was dismissed, for a mystery, "yellow ice water incident". He was aquitted on all charges, and is gearing up, for what he hopes to be another World Championship season, with the New Orleans Saints.....
Guillaume De La Fontaine EMPLOYEE: Guillaume De La Fontaine POSITION: Aquatic Engineer AGE: 42 HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5-3/145 COLLEGE: Devry Technical School (non-graduate) WATER EXPERIENCE: UNKNOWN 10 QUESTIONS WITH GUILLAUME DE LA FONTAINE Who's the one figure in water delivery, that you admire the most? Well, that would have to be Beudreax De La Fontaine, my uncle. He used to mix the water for our crawfish boils, when I was growing up down on the bayou.... He was killed in a viscious Pelican attack, when I was only six years old, but his memory lives on in my heart and mind.... Any pre-game superstitions? I must say, that I am really scared of rats, so I try to stay clear of them, before the games. Especially the really big rats. I remember an incident at Chucky Cheese, when I was only ten... well, it wasn't pretty... Who was your favorite coach, that you performed your duties under? I don't like to talk about that too much. Let's just say he was strong, but gentle. He is in prison now. Who's your favorite musical artist? I am a big fan of bluegrass, or anything involving a jug, or banjo. There is also this guitar player from Texas, nicknamed Strato, that I really "get off on", if you catch my drift.... What's your favorite pre-game meal? I generally eat during the game... You know, half eaten lucky dogs, I find in the trash cans. But before the game, ain't nothing better, than corn on the cob, on a stick... What is your best memory, of delivering water? That would have to be the time, I got to give a cup to Aaron Brooks... That was the greatest moment ever. He was scalping tickets outside the dome when it happened, sometime last season. Who is your biggest fan? That would be my pet hound dog Betsy. I mean, anywhere you put the peanut butter.... anywhere...... If you weren't an aquatic distributor, what other career would you pursue? I was always interested in being an investment banker. Either that, or working the tilt-a-whirl, for a carnival somewhere.... What other jobs in the dome would you like to perform? Well, I already tried that, but apparently the organization wasn't really fond of marijuana being sold on the premises.... Ricky Williams was a cool cat to party with.... What is your favorite beverage other than water? Dr. Tishner's Healing Tonic, with a splash of shoe polish.... |
What's popular is not always right, and what's right is not always popular.....
