10 QUESTIONS WITH CHRIS IVORY
Chris Ivory is a running back in his rookie year with the New Orleans Saints. Ivory began his collegiate career at Washington State, where he rushed for 534 yards and four touchdowns on 91 carries in three seasons. After injuries derailed his career, he transferred to Tiffin and ran for 223 yards on 39 carries. He is on the active roster after signing with the Saints as an undrafted free agent.
Chris Ivory PLAYER: Chris Ivory POSITION: Running back AGE: 22 HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 6-0/222 COLLEGE: Tiffin NFL EXPERIENCE: Rookie 10 QUESTIONS WITH CHRIS IVORY Who's the one figure in football you admire the most? "Emmitt Smith. Growing up I liked the Dallas Cowboys--I'm from Texas. He was just one of the greatest that I've watched." Any pre-game superstitions? "No. I'm not really into that. I don't really have a ritual that I do besides listening to music." Who was your favorite coach, high school or college? "I'd say Coach (John) King and Coach (Jarred) Baugh. Both of my high school coaches. They taught me a lot of stuff." Who's your favorite musical artist? "I'd go with Wayne, Kiki and Xero. Wayne, as you know, he's just real known as far as his lyrics and everything. Xero and Kiki are more of the people that I can relate to. They're from the Texas area too, so I'm hooked on them." What's your favorite pre-game meal? "I'm gonna have to go with pasta and baked chicken. The pasta has stuff like carbs in it. It's something lighter in your stomach. I don't like to feel heavy when I get ready to play." What is your best football memory? "Probably in little league, when I played in like fifth grade, the Super Bowl game. I scored the winning touchdown. It was like a 90-yarder." Who is your biggest fan? "My mom. My mom and my dad. They just kept believing in me, keep believing and have faith in me. They're just always there for me when I need somebody to talk to." If you weren't playing football what career would you pursue? "I'm not sure what I'd be doing right now honestly. I know I'd be trying to find a job somewhere." What other position would you like to play? "Probably linebacker. I think I'm pretty good at reacting to movement and everything. I think I have pretty good speed to go with linebackers." What's your favorite sport other than football? "I'm gonna have to say basketball. I used to play basketball a lot growing up too, but it just never really stuck with me. I just wanted to put more time into football. That's what I wanted to do." |

Re: 10 QUESTIONS WITH CHRIS IVORY
If he can get past the injury history then he might be another good option. He's not that big at 6'- 222 lbs. I'm still looking for that power back to replace Deuce.
