Drew Brees Joins 'Do Good For The Gulf' Campaign
Brees is joining "Do Good for the Gulf" -- an extension of the Pepsi Refresh Project, which is awarding more than $20 million to help fund what organizers describe as "good ideas, big and small, that move communities forward."
"Do Good for the Gulf" began accepting submissions Monday. "We are all devastated by the impact of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico on the communities of the Gulf Coast," Brees said. "The Pepsi Refresh Project is allowing us all to 'Do Good for the Gulf' by empowering Americans to turn their ideas to refresh communities in the Gulf region from wishful thinking into reality." The soft drink giant said it will award 32 grants ranging from $5,000 to $250,000 to help Gulf states impacted by the Deepwater Horizon spill. A total of $1.3 million will be awarded.
