This one felt GOOD

I just had a feelin' about this game...one I don't usually get. I'm almost ALWAYS nervous when the Saints play, even if they have a big lead because, well, because I've seen the worst of the worst happen to the Saints over the years. Yesterday was different somehow. Even when TO scored that TD. Even when we were down 24-13. Even when the 9'ers scored their last field goal to take the lead 27-25. Instead of yelling at the TV and scaring my dog, frightening the Girlfried and greeting the cops at the door a few minutes later...instead of all that on this particular Sunday I smiled. I had this tingle in my gut. It was a good game to watch, and for some reason or another I just KNEW the Saints would win it. Maybe it was because they couldn't stop us on 3rd and no matter how many...maybe it was because we'd been running the ball down their throat all day long. Maybe it was becasue no matter how much our "D" struggles they always manage to come through when it counts. I'm not really sure why, but I KNEW the Saints would win that game at the opening kickoff. As a Saints fan it was a feeling I'm not accustomed to having, but one I welcome in the weeks to come. Our team is FINALLY fun to watch. We may not win every game from here on out, but we're competitive...even more than that, we're TOUGH. If Dale Carter comes back we're lible to win the Super Bowl...we might even win it if he doesn't, but even if we dont' we're gonna scare the hell outta some teams along the way! ;)

Well I\'m glad you knew. They scared the flysugar out of me. When the beer man fumbled I could have died. And when Marriuchi pulled off what I thought was an incredible gutsy coaching move and declined the penalty, man you would have thought my living room was in the dome. After two minutes of cussing, screaming, and frantically waving a bathroom towel, I celebrated the win by running through my house beating my chest and asking all the so called experts (of course they couldn\'t hear) what the beep beep beep the sorry beep beep beep was going to say now. This was all followed by a rousing rendition of \"When the Saints Go Marching In\" (everyone in my house is forced to know this song by heart-although my three month old still struggles with it), and a brief posting on the Blackandgold site (reference \"Oh H3ll Yeah).

I didn\'t even watch anymore football for the rest of the day.

I am still pumped about this one. It was one of the best.

You guys are right on. I almost broke my chair jumping on it like a little kid. There\'s something about a 6\'2\" 305 lb. man jumping on a chair that dogs and other family members just don\'t understand. However i think just for now i\'ll forgo ordering my Super Bowl tickets. However , this is subject to change at any moment. You do realize we all have the right to change our minds at the last minute. OOPS! that\'s for women only. GO SAINTS!!!!!

Joe, I don\'t think anyone should be ready to order bowl tickets just yet. The season is too long and too many things can happen. I am just glad that after seven games it\'s a possibility and the Saints for once are the front runners. We have been here before and fell apart, but the difference is this time we got the meat of the schedule behind us and need only clean up the scrubs. We gotta win the ones we are supposed to win. and we are supposed to win the rest of em. That is a good good feeling.

You got that right SSM. I think these guys are primed to be very special. It\'s just after 35 years of being a Saints fan, I\'m still a little gun shy, if you know what i mean.
