New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper plans to have knee brace off by training camp

New Orleans Saints safety Darren Sharper wore a blue, flexible knee brace Wednesday morning while walking around the Saints' practice facility, about four months after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in March.

Darren Sharper plans to be out of his knee brace by training camp.
But Sharper said he plans to have the knee brace gone by training camp.

what a man, being in the area while others are in sandier places. then again he probably has to be there to rehab. still he will be big influence on young safety to be jenkins

That's pretty quick ... sure hope he rehabs it aggressively ...then again, he has always been in good shape.

This guy knows how to prepare himself for an NFL season. Now, is he prepared to groom our young Malcolm Jenkins to be the future?

Since Sean Payton has already said Darren Sharper will be on a "pitch count" in training camp, we should get to see a lot of Malcolm Jenkins at FS, along with possibly Usama Young.

It will be interesting to see how these two adapt to the position, and how much they can learn under Sharper.

It looks like Chip Vaughn will be used primarily at SS initially, although they may let him play some FS. If he can do both well, we have another versatile player for Gregg Williams' defense.
