Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
It comes down to being able to walk- he was afraid that would not be possible after week 1 of this season.

Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
Saw someone post this comment on a Kevin Seifert article about Favre on ESPN just a few minutes ago. I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything at the time, because I would have spit it all over my laptop:
"Pacing back and forth as he decides retirement, Favre accidentally completes Redskins conditioning test." |

Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
Great QB. Great career. Got a ring. First ballot HOF. Records. Admiration. Respect. Smart move Brett. I know you want to keep going, but it is far better to have your health at 50 than 1 more super bowl ring.

Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
If Favre makes his "retirement" announcement at a news conference later, as expected, then there is a 50-50 chance that he will actually retire.
It is more serious than trivial this time, with the way Vikings management is scrambling around like chickens with their heads cut off. They have offered Favre more $$$ to come back. But, I think whether its $20 million, or the $13 million his contract calls for, if his ankle hasn't healed properly, this may be it. Or maybe Bobby McCray will drive to Kiln and beg him to show up for the game Sept 9. |
Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
When (if) he makes his official announcement, I'm hoping he cries again.
I don't care if that makes me an evil b*tch, it's funny as hell! :D |
