Report: Favre tells Vikings he's not returning | ProFootballTalk.com
Florio must be on suicide watch, along with all the other ViQueens fans. Personally I'll believe when Jackson takes the first snap of our game against them....even then Favre may return for the 2nd half. HA! |

Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
He is done. Can you say 11 in the box to shut down AP in the first game of the season? The NFL must be pissed about this. They picked that Viking/Saints opener with Favre returning in mind.
Saints are going to throttle the Viqueens at home now! TWO DAT just got a lot easier. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp10/news/story?id=5433551 |

Re: Brett Favre to Retire!
Wow the Saints did a number on him.
Report: Favre informs Vikings officials he will retire NKATO, Minn. -- A person with knowledge of the situation tells The Associated Press that Brett Favre has informed the Vikings he will not return to Minnesota for a second season. The person spoke on condition of anonymity Tuesday because the team had not made an official announcement. The person says the 40-year-old Favre called coach Brad Childress to say his injured ankle is not responding as well to surgery and rehabilitation as he had hoped. Favre also told the Vikings last year he wouldn't play for them but ultimately changed his mind and joined the team immediately after it broke training camp. Favre injured his ankle in the NFC championship, which the Vikings lost to the New Orleans Saints. |
