Actually, there is a slight trend.

The defense is more handicapped because defenders have to pull up before delivering licks (especially in the backfield). The offense does not have such a restriction.

So if the D just holds its own, in effect it is a victory.

We will know much more when the players are playing against other teams rather than their own teammates.
