It sure as hell wasn't pretty but it was a win. I think we still have more problems than we can fix this year. I'd go into them but you guys already know what they are. At least 2 - 4 sounds a little better than 1 - 5. I just pray for things to get better. The Bears aren't the best team in the league so I'm not sure how much you can hang your hat on this win. But at least it's a win.

Yeah, I\'d always rather win ugly than lose pretty, but there\'s not a lot to be happy about on that one. Aaron Brooks looks bad, but more importantly, I don\'t know if there is a team in football with worse hands than ours. I\'m talking about every player. Aside from Pathon, our D-line coach has better hands than anyone on the field. Stallworth is down right bad. He\'s dropped way too many passes this year. He fumbled twice today. Thomas dropped one of the biggest gimme INTs I\'ve ever seen. Thomas and Ambrose are getting absolutely abused. Those two are BAD, and I mean BAD.

Let\'s hope that Atlanta proves to be more bad than we are next week. At least that will bring us to 3-4 before Carolina comes to town - who plays ugly but looks downright unbeatable. Man, this is going to be a long season. Let\'s hope they can eliminate their mistakes and focus on the fundamentals like tackling and catching the ball. If they can do just those two things then this team will get much better.

WhoDat --

Aaron Brooks made more good throws than bad ones. He was a little shaky in the fist half but he played very well in the second half. These receivers of ours are way overrated. If the receivers catch the balls that they are suppose to, then Aaron would have had a good day passing the ball. If I were him I would be very discourged when our receiveres continually drops the damn ball. Say what you want to about Brooks, but he is playing better than our receivers.

Lets just hope we can fix some of these errors, and get the offense going, while were playing poor teams.

I\'m not going to gripe about a win, because I\'m glad to have it.
But the Bears are a bad football team and we didn\'t dominate to make this win. But I don\'t think anyone on this board will argue that this isn\'t a team that we should have beaten anyway. Really, we should have pounded these guys. And I don\'t think this is a case of the Saints playing down to the competition as has been common in the Haslett era.

What is especially troubling to me is that our offense still hasn\'t gelled. I thought honestly that we could really hurt the Bears in the passing game, esp against Azumah, but it just isn\'t materializing. I was pleased to see us actually come away with 6 from our time in the red zone though.

This next bit isn\'t negativity, it\'s honest to gosh fear. How is it that it takes Duece 29 attempts to gain 116 yards against the Bears? Our line play is just not getting it done to run the ball. I\'m even more worried about Duece\'s health with that kind of workload. When we run about 50 plays and Duece is responsible for about 60% of the offense with just Ki-Jana in reserve, that makes me nervous.

So yes, I\'m happy for the win. But I still think the bandwagon is stuck in the ditch.

Well folks, I hate to be the one to say it, but No one and I repeat, No one on this team looks good to me. This bunch will have a time beating anyone this year. When you can\'t pound the Bears as pitiful as they are, you can\'t count on beating anyone. Say what you want to about Brooks, to me right now he looks terrible, the recievers look terrible, Deuce is Deuce he\'s about the only one I can\'t find much fault with. How these other guys can get away with calling themselves professional football players is beyond me. We can\'t block, we can\'t tackle and we can\'t catch. Just what the hell can this bunch do? Deuce could run if they could block. This is the biggest bunch of underachievers I personally, have ever seen. I really shouldn\'t even use the term underachievers in this statement because that would lead you to believe that at sometime they are achieving something.

Sorry guys, but I love this team and I just can\'t stand seeing them put up performances like this, win or lose. It\'s gotten so bad I really don\'t know who to blame. I guess maybe the coachs and players all together. To me none of them are producing what they should!

Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought an idiot, than to open it and remove all doubt!!!!!

First let me say that the Bears are a bad team and we should have beaten them much worse. But, I wouldn\'t go as far as saying NO ONE is playing well. Furthermore, to say Brooks is playing terribly is INSANE !! While Brooks isn\'t exactly setting the world on fire, he is playing well enough for this team to win, which is more than I can say for the receivers. Why fans can\'t crticize and still keep things in perspective is beyond me. Why can\'t fans just take things for what they are? Consider this:

QB Aaron Brooks completed 14 of 29 passes in spite of numerous passes dropped by the receivers. Brooks also threw for 2 TD passes and NO interceptions. Now how can anyone cosider this TERRIBLE? I would agree that Brooks needs to be more consistant but to say he is playing terribly is just not be honest with yourself.

Here\'s another player that had a great game:
DE Charles Grant had five tackles, two sacks and two forced fumbles.

Here\'s another positive:
Saints offensive line did not allow a sack and helped the offense to 130 yards rushing.

This game isn\'t one that you can say the Saints finally lived up to their potential, but if you can\'t find more positives than Deuce, then you obviously aren\'t watching the game.

Now that I\'ve said all of that -- This team is making way too many mistakes and I\'m disappointed in the way they perfomed today as a TEAM. Each player\'s individual success is dependant on other players. The problem with this team is that there are some good individual perfomances week-to-week, but they don\'t play as a TEAM !!

Yep, and this was the Bears, for Christ\'s sake. Not exactly up for the Super Bowl are they?

The Bears are a bad team, No doubt about it. But, that\'s who we played TODAY!! In EVERY game there are positives and negitives and just because we played the Bears, there were more good perfomances than Deuce!! At least I saw more.
