Well, Saints win Toilet Bowl, a few observations
Yep a win. I'll take it anyway I can get it, but here are a few observations I observed at the game.
1) We will NEVER win with Aaron Brooks. Yes, he had drops (the Joe Horn drop was a beautiful pass), but he can't manage a game, makes bad reads and has NO sense of urgency in the two minute passing drill. By the way, did anyone else notice Haz reaming Brooks out after he passed to T.Smith on the goaling right before half? All you could see Haz saying was "whatever" to every excuse Brooks was making. 2) We still can't stop the run. Yeah, yeah, A-Train was held under 100, but had the Bears had ANY resemblence of a passing game, A-Train would have had way over 100. 3) Coaching or lack thereof. Our 2 minute offense is a joke and the offensive play calling is still some of the worst in the league. Haz has yet to get these guys motivated to play an ENTIRE game and we may have seen our last win. 4) WHY IN THE HELL DO WE DROP SO MANY BALLS! Noone is immune. Stallworth, Horn, Conwell. What is going on here? Do we not practice during the week or what? This, again, can go back to lack of concentration due to poor coaching practices during the week. I will spare you guys the calls like not going for it on 4th and 1 and then, going for it on 4th and 4. Gentlemen, a win is a win, but don't look for too many more, cause this team ain't headed in the right direction, that's for sure. I'll leave you with a quote from Buddy D after the game. "I've been doing this a long time and I can tell you there is something wrong. I don't know what it is, but something is wrong with this team". |
