Saints sign LB K.C. Asiodu

In an ongoing effort to upgrade their troubled special teams, the New Orleans Saints have signed free agent linebacker K.C. Asiodu to a one-year contract, according to league sources.

Asiodu (6-2, 225) spent last season on the practice squads of the St. Louis Rams for two stints and Miami Dolphins. He most recently was released by the Rams on June 29. A native of Chino Hills, Calif., Asiodu played collegiately at Central Oklahoma

Saints officials must release a player to make room for Asiodu on their 80-man roster.
