Starting quarterback Aaron Brooks' play has been steadily declining over the last three games, as he has completed just 46-of-88 passes for 508 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions en route to a combined 66.5 quarterback rating. Against the Bears, Brooks had two touchdown passes and no interceptions, but also completed just 14-of-29 attempts


These stats sound like Kordell's. What is it going to take to bench this bum? If I'm not mistaken, didn't Bouman throw a td in the Colts game? game? Shoot, Kitner threw an int against the Rams and gets a starting job out of it. If I were Bouman, I'd tell Haslett, "Either give me a chance to run this team, or trade/cut me". I can GUARANTEE you that Bouman would land on his feet REAL quick.

Some fans are quick to point an accusatory finger at Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks for the team\'s offensive struggles.

But the receiving corps has exacerbated the problem recently with untimely drops that short-circuited potential scoring drives.


While Saints offensive coordinator Mike McCarthy said he has addressed the issue with his receivers, he must be careful not to create a monster.

One drop can lead to another, and pretty soon a case of the drops becomes contagious.

\"It\'s not an inordinate number of drops, but they seem to be coming at inopportune times,\" McCarthy said. \"The bottom line in our business is, when you\'re 2-4, everything becomes magnified.

\"Frankly, we need to take a more positive approach. Frankly, I think guys are thinking about dropping a ball instead of thinking about catching it. So we need to move on. We don\'t have guys who have bad hands. I would not classify any one of our perimeter people as having bad hands. We need to focus more on catching the football and quit worrying about dropping it.\"

Saints tight end Ernie Conwell and wide receiver Donté Stallworth freely admit they have dropped more passes than at any other time during their college and professional careers.

\"It can become a mental thing if you allow it to be,\" said Stallworth, who has 15 catches for 220 yards and one touchdown. \"All through college, I think I only dropped like maybe two balls. I don\'t think it\'s a problem with me. It\'s a matter of me getting back into a groove. I haven\'t found it yet. Hopefully, I can find it sometime soon before the season gets too far along.\"

Here\'s the funny thing. I guess you can blame \"drops\" on Brooks lack of leadership ability and his lack of consistancy. I guess you can also blame drops on his inability to read defenses and to take unecessary sack in the red zone. It must be me, but Haz was reaming his qb out last week when he instructed Brooks TO THROW IT AWAY WITH FOUR SECONDS (before the half) if a td was clearly there. So, what does idiot do? He throws it to his fullback on the 3 yard line who was covered. After this play, you could see Brooks pleading his case to Haz only to Haz mutter \"whatever, whatever\" with every word that came out of Brooks mouth. Yeah, drops cause all that. Billy Crap, did you get \"dropped\" on your head when you were a kid?

Au contraire, sir. I am the best sort of fan. I am a fan who buys season tickets year in and year out and goes to games regardless of record. I\'m a fan who wants wins and WILL NOT accept excuses for losing. I, as a fan, expect the VERY best performance on the field each and every Sunday. If these guys were playing hard, not commiting penalites like they got bonus\' for every one the commit, and showed some damn heart, then you wouldn\'t be hearing this. But I am a realist, sir. You are a dreamer. This team, this year, is going nowhere. You know it and I know it. If you any kind of TRUE fan, you would know this and be damn pissed about it. I am and won\'t settle until this team makes us proud CONSISTANTLY! I\'m not asking for SB\'s every year, hell, I\'m not even asking for playoffs EVERY year. I hate to be the dissenter here, but I for one, amongst others, said the SAME things about Billy when he first started posting. I called to get rid of him, as did others. He toned it down and started posting well. And while we disagree, he supports his beliefs with logic. Now he\'s a good member of this board.

OSD might be crass, but his points are not unique. And you Brooks fans... well, I\'m surprised you missed THIS one. You guys are experts on trying to accurately place blame, well who escalated this thread? NOTHING in OSD\'s original post was inflamatory, but Billy came back with \"Why do you want to post garbage? I\'m going to start calling you \'The Garbage Man\'.\" This one was not OSD\'s fault. You call me out, I\'m going to do the same thing he did. So will everyone else on this board. I\'m with Whodat on this one, too. TheOSdog has been very annoying at times. Sometimes his posts are abrasive and illconceived; however, Billy did start the name calling on this one. I seem to remember BC writing a couple of times that he would not stoop to namecalling. I hope this post was just a slip. And, Billy, hurt our feelings by pointing out the inaccuracies of our arguments, not by calling names.

Tweeky, I hope you stick around. I\'d hate to see this board lose one of its better members. We\'ve already lost FWtex because of this silliness.

The guy lives in fantasy football land. For the most part, all he talks about are coahes and players he wishes were on the Saints. I wish I had a \"Time Machine\" and could go back and rewrite \"Saints History\" but I don\'t.

Futhermore, if this guy had a dollar for everytime he used the word \"SUCKS\" he could buy the Saints and do all the great and wonderful things he talks about.

That\'s very true and very good advice. I don\'t have a problem with Dog though. Not to the point where I want him gone. I enjoy conversing with him at times just for laughs. I don\'t think Dog get\'s his feelings hurt by what I say to him and I KNOW what he say\'s to me doesn\'t bother me.

Some members \"CLAIM\" to want to keep this board strictly on the topic of FOOTBALL. But yet I read post after post from members like \" JoeSam, WhoDat, 08, and many more members on here that have NOTHING to do with the SAINTS or FOOTBALL. Don\'t beleive me? Just check out the \"TURD\" posts. But, don\'t stop there, There are MANY more. I don\'t particularly care for those posts, but I could care less what they want to talk about.

I\'m a member of the Super Saints Forum and it\'s all about football. But the moderators MAKE it that way. If that\'s the goal of this board then it\'s up to JoeSam to MAKE it that way.

Joe -- If you want this board to be like that then all you have to do is start completely deleting ALL posts that don\'t meet the guidelines. I promise you that it will cut all of this out.
