Garrett Hartley with the kickoff and wow, the Saints tackle Darren Sproles at the eighteen on the return. Malcolm Jenkins with the special teams tackle. A seven-yard pass and then a short carry by rookie Ryan Mathews gets the Chargers a first down at their 30-yard line. Rivers completes a nice pass in the middle of the field to Legedu Naanee for another first down. Pressure from the Saints forced a quick pass to Malcolm Floyd but Jabari Greer almost comes up with the interception.

Ryan Mathews picks up 16 yards on third and one with an end around, Scott Shanle just wasn't fast enough to grab him. Chargers are moving nicely down the field right now. Antonio Gates with a reception and a nice move to get away from Roman Harper as the Bolts are to the Saints' 15. On third and one from the five, former LSU Tiger Jacob Hester plows right up the middle for a stretching touchdown. 7-0 Bolts with 8:22 to go in the first.

Nate Kaeding kicks off to Roby who gets outside for a nice return to the forty but a penalty brings it back and the Saints will start at their own 11-yard line. Pierre Thomas gains two on the first play and the refs don't call a late hit. Colston with a nice reception up the middle for a gain of 11 and the Saints are on the move. Brees goes deep on second and give for Robert Meachem but overthrows the receiver by about five yards. Meachem had a step on the defender too. Brees is nailed by Eric Weddle on third down and fumbles the ball but Stinchcomb recovers so the boys must punt.

Jabari showed everyone how to be a shutdown corner with that pick he almost made, the coverage could not have been any better. Think he only had 1 catch against him for about 4 yards
