Three games are gone in the 2010 NFL preseason and teams will have to start deciding soon who is going to make their final 53-man roster and who must look for work elsewhere. The cut down date is September 4.
Virtually none of the starters will see any type of action in the final preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night so this will be the last chance for any players on the bubble to try and impress. This list is simply my assumption at this time as to who will make the team and is by no way confirmed. It also can change due to injuries and other such unstable occurrences. So here is who this reporter believes will be on the Saints' roster when the season begins on September 9. Quarterback (3) Drew Brees Patrick Ramsey Chase Daniel Running Back (3) Pierre Thomas Reggie Bush Chris Ivory Ladell Betts read more Last edited by Halo; 08-30-2010 at 02:26 PM.. |

My thoughts on Arrington...I like the kid and wanted him more than anyone to make the roster. But after seeing Payton try him out three times at punt returner on Friday night, then it just appears to me they are looking to find him a spot SOMEwhere. Thing is...he did nothing as a punt returner at all.
3 punt returns for 11 yards. With Bush, Moore, Robinson, and Porter on the team...I don't see punt returner being the spot for Arrington. And to crack into the wide receiver spot is going to take an injury of some sort. I just didn't know where to put him unfortunately. |

AA just needs playing time...
As deep as the receiving corps is and with teams like the Chargers, Bills, Bears, Seahawks, Raiders, Dolphins, Redskins, Browns, Jaguars, Broncos, Chiefs in need of WR help... We could trade one, even two, wide receivers and obtain help in the Defensive Tackle, LineBacker, and Running Back positions that could use a boost... |

A team won't trade when they can just wait and pick up the cuts, especially for a guy that may not make the cut. It's more likely they keep 6 WR, and only three RB, where Betts gets cut.
