I pretty much agree with this. I do not believe Ladell Betts or Patrick Ramsey will make the opening day roster. However, what I do see happening is they are both brought back for week 2, or shortly after, depending on needs. I see these two guys as players the Saints can risk releasing and bringing back as needed. By not having them on the opening day roster, the Saints do not have to guarantee their salary, just the games when they are on the roster. Just another gut feeling, I don't believe Darrin Sharper will make the cut either, he looks like he will be on the pup list and miss the first six games.

Overall, we should not expect any big surprises. The Saints are very fortunate that the new free agency rules kicked in for this year, this team is basically the same team that won the Super Bowl. No big losses via free agency this year.

Adrian Arrington, I don't know. He's been in the system a while and has had flashes but still looks rough around the edges. One pass in particular against the Chargers all he had to do was extend his arms and it was his for the taking. I guess he's in but I'd rather have more insurance at RB considering Ivory was injury prone in college.

I was hoping to keep AA around for trade bait if some one lost a receiver early on. We have some talent that has to go. I was thinking we could slide a couple of our draft picks onto the practice squad and hope that they made it through waivers. We know people will be cherry picking our cuts. Danged if you do and danged if you don't.
