God I don't miss those backwards passes where his arm goes forward and the ball goes behind him somehow.....Oh god....I think I'm gonna be sick...

Look on the bright side, if his number is not retired, he's still available in case Brees goes down.

Just my opinion... I remember his rookie season. You guy played us... at that time, Blake was your starter and (YUCK) Leaf was our starter. I was at that game and Blake looked promising for you guys but Brooks stepped it up. He got you to the playoffs and got you guys your first playoff win. I remember watching that game and was so excited for your team.

It looked like he was the answer but unfortunately... no need to say the rest. I remember the Saints coming here in 2004 and Brooks threw a backwards pass. The whole stadium was in shock!

Then he went to (our much hated rivals) the Raiders. We actually laughed at him many times.

Though he did get you guys your first playoff win, I can see how it would be tainted.
