Retire Aaron Brooks Jersey #2 ???

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I say we remove the number "two" all together. Unless you are using it in a bowel movement context....

Oh God, then I suppose in a couple of years Daunte F'ing Culpepper would start demanding his jersey retired. I know that before the last 5 yrs the Saints were rough but why commemorate it?

Hahaha! Awful QBs think alike, I guess.

I'm only for retiring a player's jersey if they EARNED it, not if they embarrass the franchise to the point of being booed off the field.

Just my opinion... I remember his rookie season. You guy played us... at that time, Blake was your starter and (YUCK) Leaf was our starter. I was at that game and Blake looked promising for you guys but Brooks stepped it up. He got you to the playoffs and got you guys your first playoff win. I remember watching that game and was so excited for your team.

It looked like he was the answer but unfortunately... no need to say the rest. I remember the Saints coming here in 2004 and Brooks threw a backwards pass. The whole stadium was in shock!

Then he went to (our much hated rivals) the Raiders. We actually laughed at him many times.

Though he did get you guys your first playoff win, I can see how it would be tainted.
