What time does the party start?
This is for the lucky ones who gets to go to da game?
Do ya leave early from work Not go in at all? Are y'all tailgating all day? Being across the country, I'm missing out on all these good times. I just wanted to hear a few inputs on the big day. |

Head to work in the morning, packed and ready for the festivities and the game, b/c once downtown, I assume there will be NO leaving.
The businesses downtown will pretty much start shutting down around 2pm, but there will be tailgaters down there all day long (matter-of-fact, there are already a couple of motor-homes parked in lots...ALREADY!!) So, I will probably start drinking (from my office around two-ish. Fortunately, I work in 1100 Poydras, which is about three blocks from the dome. There is a bar in the building, called Allegros, and it's a pretty popular place to hang pre and post-game. Then, to the Dome, about an hour before kick-off (I want to make sure I am there well in time to see the SB Banner lowered!!!). After the game, we usually hang out at Allegros until the traffic is gone. Or, if things get really crazy, we'll walk to the quarter to party with the real freaks! That's one of the best things about the city during game time...Once you are here, pretty much everything is within walking distance. |

We will be in the Quarter by 3:00 this afternoon. Tomorrow, gameday, we'll start out with a Cafe du Monde breakfast, and spend the day in the quarter getting "ready". Then we'll head to Champions Square for the pre-game and will be in the dome in section 281 about an hour before kickoff!

I'm leaving work @ 4pm sharp and the first thing I'm going to do is get me a good cigar and a beer.
We've got a bunch of trout from the gulf to fry up. They don't need any more oil to cook them. |
