Two sources close to the Heisman Trophy organization have said that the trust is completing its investigation and in conjunction with the NCAA's findings on Bush that he accepted improper benefits while at USC, feels that he was ineligible during the 2005 season. These findings have landed the University with a two-year bowl ban, four years probation, and a reduction in scholarships.
USC has already given back their copy of the trophy. Mind you that right now this is still all hearsay because nothing has actually been announced yet by the trust. ESPN's Chris Folwer has said the report from Yahoo Sports is "completely false" and "premature." Fowler told ESPN's Sportscenter that conversations have been had by the eight-person trust about this possibility, but "they certainly have not made any decision about rescinding it." Folwer continued, "They haven't made a decision. No announcement is imminent. They have not had any formal meetings about this." The trust is due for a regularly scheduled meeting in September sometime when this situation could possibly be discussed more if no official statement is given before. Many rumors are circulating right now as to whether Bush has actually been stripped of the trophy already, whether he definitely will be, or even how they will decide. Let it be known that no official decision has been made yet and the trophy still does belong to Bush as does the designation of him as the winner. Until an official announcement comes from the NCAA or the Heisman Trophy Trust, then Reggie Bush is still the 2005 recipient. Link to the Examiner article |

I've been making my rounds today just to see random comments for all the different stories posted on this subject and it is amazing how bitter some people are about all this. There are literally people out there who act like he is the antichrist because of this whole situation. It's funny.

I didn't post this article because im hearing conflicting stories on ESPN, was going to wait for something more clearer to come out, looks like Bush's camp came out and said this claim is false and nothing has been determined about the Heisman, Yahoo Sports beat writers have been hard at work again trying to tear Bush mind out of the game and cause saints locker room static anyone else find it ironic every year right before a big game these yahoo writers come out with a big claim on Reggie Bush? they have been at it every year almost like clock work.. They never liked Reggie Bush coming to New Orleans, im glad Bush got his people on it to shut em up....

Even if it were true and they are gonna strip it from him. We'll always know he was the best college player that year, and Reggie knows it too. And yeah , he already has something better, a SB ring!
