We have injuries as well... We didn't have Sharper in so call it a draw.

Wow the server didn't crash? Shocking.

This game confirmed every possible worse fear I had for the '10 Vikings. The secondary is f'ed up, the recievers and Favre were off, no 3rd down back, McKinnie is p***y, Sullivan can't block, not enough playmakers in any 3 areas outside of Peterson and Harvin, the run defense looked a year older and Chilly won't stay out of the way...Brett's decision making was bad too...9-7

*edit: F*** Asher Allen...just terrible...anyone on this board could've done better than he did in coverage.

Saints didn't look like world beaters either, a little sloppy but that won't stay that way. Defense was alright...can't really say with how out of it the Vikings looked on offense at times. Establishing the run makes them MUCH tougher than when they just try and throw it...if the Saints in particular can do both...that's just scary...Likely 13-3 or 12-4.

Not bad observation... Maybe the Saints D is just a tad better... and they might have shown the world this team is not just a bad ass offense.

Want a different outcome? Then hope your team makes it back to NOLA for the NFCCG.

Overall a solid performance. Brees was pretty much awesome. The running game was solid in the second half (can't really blame them in the first half... hard to get any momentum when you only run it 4 times a half).

I think the offensive line deserves the most props of all for this win. Brees was barely touched, and Bushrod in particular did a phenomenal job against Jared Allen. Nicks was a beast and a half on run blocking.

Also, saw Gene Woja-whatever his name is on ESPN.com this morning. Total bullcrap article. No love for the defense which absolutely shut down the Vikings. Just saying that the Saints are "in trouble" for some reason. Last year doesn't matter... this team has handled winning a franchise's first Super Bowl about as well as you could ask them to, and they've approached this season like true professionals. I don't see any hangover, I see a team that played their first game of the regular season against a Super Bowl contender, and won. The defense dominated, the offense had their moments but had the consistency that you might expect in a week one (not to mention Minnesota's defense is very good), and our kicker missed two easy field goals. We're going to be just fine.

I agree Deuce. Bushrod deserves mad props, for his shutting down Allen. I seem to remember someone saying, "How much trouble we were going to be in, if we lost Brown at LT." Obviously NOT.

Allen played? I didn't even notice the mullethead.

:/

I just read a Vikings fan complain that they gave us the game because of the oil spill. They lost because they didn't call Vilma for interference on his int.

LOL!
