Wow... It's so quiet you can hear a pin drop online right now. All that smack talk before the game, and now..... you hear that? AP's "guaranteed win"?... How "the better NFC team WASN'T in the Superbowl last year"?.... "Saints are cheaters"?..... Did I miss anything? An ugly win, is still a win. I'm glad that it's over with, now we can concentrate on the two pete...


Let's not overlook SF. That's going to be a tough game guys.

Oh we won't get the "We were wrong" speech from any of them. I feel better just knowing they had to watch the Vikes loss....AFREAKINGAIN!

They are a good team...we are better. We all may get a treat with a rematch in the playoffs. That would be something special, IMO.

By no means do the Vikes suck. And yes, I think we will meet again later.

Gotta say, they better get a lot better in a couple weeks time, cause their main threat is out several more weeks, and by the time he gets back it could be too late for 'em.

Disagree. Favre had as bad of wideouts as Brady did for most of his career, and he managed just fine without star receivers. If he can get it done with the likes of Antonio Freeman and Bill Schroeder, I think he can get it done with this group. That said, it would be so nice to have Sidney. I don't think i can forgive him for not getting surgery right away.

Losers rarely admit when they are wrong. They just tuck tail and go into hiding until the next matchup. Then they start it all over again. It's a vicious cycle.

I think you are comparing two different Favres. I think what the Vikings collective is hoping this man can accomplish and what he is capable of doing on at least one bad wheel and at his age are two VERY different things.

I don't think another loss to us will convince them they just aren't good enough and their coaching staff doesn't have the smarts to come up with anything that can surprise us or give them the edge. I guess there is something to be said for perseverance and belief in one's self though.

Age is a good point. However Sidney Rice does have talent, but the year before last he had what 16 receptions? Shiancoe had a break out year. I mean it can't be just a coincidence that Favre just happened to be there when that happened.

Okay thanks. Ya I'm done with my trash talking. I really think in terms of players are teams are very even. They may have strengths and weaknesses in different areas but altogether I think talent wise their close. The big difference is coaching. The Vikings have an excellent defensive coordinator in Leslie Frazier, but darrell bevell and Brad Childress... there's where the big difference is. I don't even think big justifies the gap there.

I have some really close friends who live in Minnetonka and I know for a fact Viking fans felt Childress was not the answer BEFORE Favre!

Honestly, on Childress, I don't like his style of coaching or disposition.

Also, I'm not a fan of your backup QB.

Otherwise, the Vikings have a strong team and played a clean game that made last night fun and interesting to watch.

That game was a lot cleaner than I was expecting. After all the twitter battles in the off-season, I was kind of expecting a lot of unnecessary roughness/roughing the passer calls.

Both teams though played the game with a lot class and didn't allow anything to get started.

I felt the NFC Championship there was a LOT more on the line.

I think both clubs are class acts.

My personal opinion was in the NFC Champ game both teams were twisting noses and doing whatever they could to win.

This was the first game of the regular season and I thought both teams played well, but the game was clean and fair.

Win or lose for the Who Dats, thought it was a very entertaining game.

No. Now they will start talking about how classless Saints fans are and make up stories about how they were treated. Trust me. I was there last night and on Bourbon Street after. Their fans were wished the best or ignored entirely. I didn't see a single Saints fan rubbing their nose in it.
