this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; If you add the meachem drop and 2 field goals it is mor what I would have expected. Childress looked unprepared and his team mimicked that!...

Why does this mean the ship is sinking? Chilly has always been ridiculed and ripped. He's always been viewed as one of the worst coaches in the NFL. I don't see any news.

14-9! How different posts would be today if the Vikes found a way to put up just 1 more TD! These two teams aren't that far apart, and I certainly don't blame Favre.
I vote for the ""Childress got outcoached" excuse because I truly do think that it is the difference for the Saints today...coaching. Specifically Sean Payton and he's somewhat lucky in that he has a QB that is more than capable of carrying-out his gameplan. When people start catching on the SP...he'll be doing something different! |

This makes me seriously LOL.
Their worthless franchise will self-destruct, Favre will "retire" without bringing them to the "promise land" and Chilly will be unemployed. Muahahahahaha! |

I don't think it was so much as bad play calling except that they were out coached by ours.
You have a QB who at the start of the game realized by the look on his face "what am I thinking, I can'd do this anymore" look. A team that just got out coached when it counted. They couldn't make the adjustments quick enough to what the Saints were giving them. |

There was one play where Peterson picked up 8. Then he went pass, then run. If you're going to pass one of those downs it makes much more sense to pass on 3rd down. Especially last night when the Saints were continually stopping the Vikings up the middle on 3rd down. He is a terrible play caller. No creativity. Just nothing to it. I do envy one thing on the Saints. Sean Payton. He's a very good coach. |

I am so glad we have Payton. And, even more pleased that we don't have Chilly. He seems awful.

This reflects more on the fans than anything.
I have even less respect for Viqueen fans now. |
