Does anyone in the NFC look better than us?
I've tried to watch pieces and parts of several games today.
We may have only scored 14 points as the critics like to point out, but we played a good team and played a complete game (minus bad special teams play in 2 missed FGs). NFC North: Green Bay looks OK, but can't protect the QB. That will get you killed in the playoffs. Vikings miss Rice more than they will admit and have secondary problems. Lions/Bears will be battle for last. Stafford injury may secure last for Lions. NFC South: Atlanta / Carolina go down today. Carolina looked terrible in the 2nd half and Moore is hurt. Bucs won, but had to come from behind against "powerhouse" Browns... NFC East: Giants secondary looks suspect again. Eagles QB situation looks bad - they will miss McNabb. We'll see about Dallas/Washington tonight... NFC West: Not sure about Seattle, but SF sure is getting torn up by them. Rams are either a lot better with Bradford or Cards are a lot worse without Warner. I tend to think the later... |
So far .... we're number one ...
|
I know after watching San Fran put up a 6 points on the mighty Seahawks. I am not worried about next Monday night.
|
We haven't seen the Cowboys yet I guess, but so far we're looking better and better as more games are played. Indianapolis' defense got shredded by Arian Foster for 3 TDs and 231 yards too.
|
I'm seeing most of the heat coming from the NFC North between The Packers and The Vikings. The South as well with our neighbors who always play us tough but I don't see any of them as a long term threat. The Cowboys and Giants are so unpredictable too early to figure them out. The Cards without Warner will be the story and The Seahawks with a new Coach and an injury prone QB may not make it long term. But as we all know on any given day anything can happen in the league. But with Brees healthy, I like our chances.

No.... that is all.... :)
|
1st week. Lots of slow starts. Lets not count anyone in or out yet
|
Ok the Cowboys look really terrible so far this week too. The Saints keep looking better and better! You're right though homer. It's only week 1 and other teams may be rusty as well. We just have to make sure to prepare properly.

This one is pretty easy after watching Dallas and Wash.....NO!!!!...lol

"Does anyone in the NFC look better than us?"
Absolutely not!! |

I didn't see anyone yet, but were not really going to know until week 8. Vick was surprising today.

Like said earlier...it's week 1...Hell we looked sloppy also! We just pulled out the win on D. The old gunslinger tosses one more TD and we lose....gotta tighten up on offense next week. San Fran might have gotten skunked this week but that only means they come out swinging next week!

Well, it's a little too early to get overconfident. But NFC wise at this point I would say no. I think Green Bay going to be our main worry come play off time, but again, it's a long season. Dallas sure looked bad last night though...hehe.

But I dont want to be in the Falcons position come next week and not take SF seriously. We need to come out swinging and not let up. Bury them quick if we can. |
Nobody in the NFC looks better than the Saints right now.
In fact, I'm surprised that it's so objectively obvious right now that nobody in the NFC looks better than the Saints right now. We're Blessed. We have it all right now, football-wise. :bng: |
Here is the problem with that question... "it is about match ups".
One week sure you can have a close game against a good team and then lose to so called bad team. It is all about match ups. Any given team can beat any given team on any given Sunday. Teams will make adjustments look good one week and bad the next. All that matters is you position yourself to make a run at the playoffs. It is still very early in the season. |
Just happy to see Jerry Jones so unhappy, and the Plowgirls lose! ;)

NO. Nobody impressed me the team from dallas sux offense is awful, the teams in our division are soft, the nfc west is weak. the "Super Bowl Favorite Packers" cant protect the QB my man Ryan Grant is done for 2010, didnt we damn near hang 60 on them a few years ago? their defense in not impressive 2DAT DYNASTY will be born in Dallas 2011

Two dat. The journey begins.
|
No
|
um ... We won but looked terrible doing it. Penalties, dropped passes, 3/11 3rd down conversions, only 1 takeaway, missed field goals, shanked punts and on and on. I'm not ready to start making reservations for dallas yet.
