Does anyone in the NFC look better than us?
I've tried to watch pieces and parts of several games today.
We may have only scored 14 points as the critics like to point out, but we played a good team and played a complete game (minus bad special teams play in 2 missed FGs). NFC North: Green Bay looks OK, but can't protect the QB. That will get you killed in the playoffs. Vikings miss Rice more than they will admit and have secondary problems. Lions/Bears will be battle for last. Stafford injury may secure last for Lions. NFC South: Atlanta / Carolina go down today. Carolina looked terrible in the 2nd half and Moore is hurt. Bucs won, but had to come from behind against "powerhouse" Browns... NFC East: Giants secondary looks suspect again. Eagles QB situation looks bad - they will miss McNabb. We'll see about Dallas/Washington tonight... NFC West: Not sure about Seattle, but SF sure is getting torn up by them. Rams are either a lot better with Bradford or Cards are a lot worse without Warner. I tend to think the later... |

I know after watching San Fran put up a 6 points on the mighty Seahawks. I am not worried about next Monday night.

We haven't seen the Cowboys yet I guess, but so far we're looking better and better as more games are played. Indianapolis' defense got shredded by Arian Foster for 3 TDs and 231 yards too.

I'm seeing most of the heat coming from the NFC North between The Packers and The Vikings. The South as well with our neighbors who always play us tough but I don't see any of them as a long term threat. The Cowboys and Giants are so unpredictable too early to figure them out. The Cards without Warner will be the story and The Seahawks with a new Coach and an injury prone QB may not make it long term. But as we all know on any given day anything can happen in the league. But with Brees healthy, I like our chances.

Ok the Cowboys look really terrible so far this week too. The Saints keep looking better and better! You're right though homer. It's only week 1 and other teams may be rusty as well. We just have to make sure to prepare properly.
