NFL to cite Saints' Brooks ..named NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Saints quarterback Aaron Brooks will be named NFC Offensive Player of the Week today for his performance Sunday in New Orleans' 45-17 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Brooks was 23-of-30 for 352 yards and three touchdowns, with no interceptions. He had a career-high passer rating of 148.2, which was the NFL's highest rating last week. He rushed three times for 15 yards.

It was Brooks' 20th game with 250 yards or more passing, which ties a Saints record. It was the 17th game of his career with a passer rating higher than 100, and the Saints are 12-5 in those games.
