When I moved to Louisiana from Texas one of the first things I learned was how to say it properly. The girl I was seeing made me practice it over and over until I got it right. I had a pretty thick Texas accent at the time so it took awhile. Now it feels so good to say New Orleans.(without pronouncing the the a) Yankees have the worst pronunciation.;)
