Mike Singletary: We will not try to stop Drew Brees. We will stop Drew Brees
Singletary: I want to talk about New Orleans if you want to talk about that.
O’Donnell: OK. Let’s talk about trying to stop Drew Brees. Singletary: We will not try to stop Drew Brees. We will stop Drew Brees. Next question. O’Donnell: Let’s talk about trying to move the ball against the New Orleans defense … Singletary: We will not try to move the ball against the New Orleans defense. We will move the ball and we will score. O’Donnell: Obviously there’s a sense of frustration that’s built … Singletary: No, there’s not a sense of frustration. I’m just being honest. I had a conversation about this early today and I came in here ready to talk about New Orleans and we get all this other. I’m just tired of talking about that. I’m ready to go. I am excited, I’m ready to go, I just finished talking to my team, I’m ready to go. We can talk about New Orleans, let’s go, but I don’t want to talk about all this other stuff. Can't say I blame the guy. That team needs some confidence and the current state of our journalism profession is pitiful.
|
I hope he brings a Howitzer, because that's the only way they are going to stop the Saints.
|
Not going to happen
|
Question... who is going to move the ball against Saints defense? Alex Smith? Pretty laughable right now.
Frank Gore... he'll probably get some yards but even if he gets 100, that won't be enough. |
Alex Smith, its a Dam Shame. This could be the end of his time in San Fran
|
Bout as confident as Charger fans were about beating KC..see where that got them..frustration abound in ole Cowa Bunghole land...lol

Sorry but I don't swing that way. You have 3-4 buttys to keep you company. No need for a fifth guy. |
I said Charger fans...your a Saints fan right?...i mean you been campin out here..lately...might want to change that avatar...

You were a Steelers fan in 2008! Giants fan in 2007. Whoever wins in 2010 will be your team. Even if it isn't the Saints! |
I do think he's just trying to inspire some confidence for his team, but let's see what he has to say after the game is over.

Darth nihlus? What kind Of "Geek Speak" is this? Why don't you go home and find your father LUKE!Why stay here and cause an uproar? We don't take kindly to "bandwagoners" around these parts! Are you a loyal jets fan now too?bbboltz your electricity will be diminished due to bad grounds!Go home where you bolts' fans can unite as one; Y'all as a whole can try to bring the voltage up to the next level in SAN DIEGO!Go home where your spark is needed; We've got enough electricity here to blow fuses, transformers, trip breakers, and strong enough hurricane force winds to force you back to SAN DIEGO or NEW YORK ...your choice sparky!:bng: may the force be with you on your upcoming journey back home Darth Sparky

It's a long story but Howard Stern had a great interview with someone who claimed to be Darth Nihlus. Research that interview. It will have you laughing hard! Oh, and about bandwagoners... they are about 70% of all teams! Before you get bent, I know the Saints still had a good amount of fans during the "Aints" era, but nothing like this. Get used to success! With that said... I was in New Orleans in 87 to witness their first trip to the playoffs after a victory over the Gnats. I was at the game too. I was only 17 but I have great memories of that time. I was also in New Orleans in 91 when they started out at 8-0 and attended a Saints/Falcons game. Unfortunately, the Saints lost, but I was rooting for them. I also saw that that rivalry is like. Gee, I'm sorry I like your team and enjoyed visiting your city! You're not too bright! Go hold hands with the buttys! |

pot=kettle=black IMO, strato is doing the best thing he can do...he's bugging you. You see, you've been bugging me since last year, and I'm taking great delight in seeing my fellow brothers on this forum waking up to the crap you keep coming over here and spewing and realizing what your agenda really is. We don't like the Chargers that much. We are the Saints. We really don't like Rivers...nobody does except Charger fans and I would think that even a large percentage of them hate to see the guy go off on his tantrums. My personal belief, and I said it last year, is that you still haven't gotten over the fact that your team/management once had Brees under contract and let him walk and now he has blossomed into one of the best QB's in the league if not the best. Your trying to place Rivers anywhere near the same level as Brees is not accepted very well here, because so far the only thing you've got to hang your hat on regarding Rivers is predictions and misleading, bloated stats...nothing substantial like AFCCG's or SB wins. We can all tell that it is really bugging you...and maybe you would be better served if you just went ahead and admitted it and stop pretending. I know I for one would receive you here a lot better if you would just come clean. |
Here's something bright ***khead..use your imagination..it's a news "flash".The title reads "Repete believes bolts4life is an existing member that took on another handle."Was that news flash bright enough for you sparky?

I just got several PMs about who the a**holes are in this forum and your name was listed! LMAO!!! |
Sounds like somebodies going camping!lol he just wants your rep pts. He doesn't really love you

First things first... get over your anger. Second... your belief is wrong. Third... instead of patting your buttys on the a** and talking about me, why don't you talk about your team? |
I hope Sean and Drew see this and kill they're secondary
|
They couldnt even stop Matt hasselbeck!!!!!!!!!!! Now they will stop Drew Brees.....GTFOH

Maybe you really are Rivers like somebody suggested earlier. |

Imposter on the loose!Quick somebody call SAN DIEGOze fugitive hotline!!

This seems like a break down in their organization is happening. HC's don't make threats like this publicly unless your desperate and your trying to motivate your team.
Lets not mess around with these guys, play our game and bury them, so Singletary can eat his words. |

btw...how come you haven't given your thoughts on this thread? http://blackandgold.com/nfl/28891-n-...tml#post246677 |
Can't we all just get along? :p

Thread jacking.............B4L has always been welcome here. I don't believe he has any other agenda than taking Saints football. I like more teams than just the Saints and I put him in that category. He doesn't bother me.
BTW, Singletary is just following up on his tough talk after last weeks loss when he went ballistic on his team. He's trying to show tough leadership. Unfortunately that won't work against the Saints. |
|
Great player. Not a good head coach. The good news is they can go 8-8 and win the division.

Mike Singletary: What's so funny? Alex Smith will move the ball against the Saints defense and we will score. Next question. |
Yeah can't blame him, his team needs a win as a shot in the arm, what you expect him to say? we're going to suck, Brees is going to own us, their defense is going to dominate us, lets just fold and think about next season..
I think Singletary was trying to mock the interviewer, i think he was being an A-hole and trying to motivate his players with this.. However i hope Saints see it as Locker room material and make an example out of SF. |
Yes Singletary is only trying to build confidence and displace all of the media junk swirling around his team. However, this game will not a be a confidence builder for his team. Good Luck in your game the week after the Saints.
|
31-6 thats the only locker room material we need. we know they will come out smokin. after all the bullets fired, there done.
|
Singletary is pretty much fighting to save his career at this point. There are a lot of in-house problems in the 49ers organization and he hasn't been handling it well. Losses will only add fuel to that fire.
|
If he had kept their issues internal, they may have kept this game close or even managed a shocking victory.
But now I'm beginning to think we may see a 3 or 4 score blow-out. NEVER smack talk a superior opponent. |

P.R. isn't Singletary's strong suit and I also don't think he's good coaching material. It's as if he's too emotionally invested into his team but in a way that's detrimental to his team.
Just be a pro and give canned answers to the questions, don't try to make a point through the media's questions unless you really know what you are doing. |
You know Singleturd you should've kept your comments to yourself now your gonna have to eat that turd!
