Who is he Rooting For ?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; That's a very interesting question. Will Saintz08 be pulling for the Saints, or will he be pulling for the Carolina Panthers and his Breaux Bridge buddy Jake Delhomme? This is a very serious question. Makes ya wonder doesn't it? Sure ...

Who is he Rooting For ?

I thougt it would be interesting to post some previous post of 08 to show his agenda:

Haslett is laying the ground work for Delhomme , giving him the vote of confidence over a seasoned vet like George . George is trouble , but talented . The statement is clear , we have the confidence in Delhomme
Brooks price will be too high , considering the talent on this team and the salaries . Haslett and management will begin to publically show confidence in Delhomme in an attempt to lower Brooks demands and ease the fan anger when he cannot be signed .

I must say that was the one thing about Mueller that really got under my skin , the one year non veteran contracts . Jake may be a veteran at this point but I think he was one of those 1 year deals . I think 3 years if he is questionable , 5 years if he is good , and 8 if he is great . 1 year is a fill in player , Jake is not a fill in player , if he goes elsewhere that leaves the Saints with J.T. as the back up and a rookie to be drafted .

Jakes last contract was 1 year for $ 563,000 .
Would love to see him ink a 5 year deal . What always bothers me was the statement that Haslett made when they signed Blake on the first day of free agency .
Not really sure about Hasletts judgement on quarterbacks and corners
If memory serves me well : Jake is 3-1 in games he has been in . He has won the World Bowl . This will draw some criticism , but I have spent time studying Montana over the past years to see why that 40 whiner team was what it was , Jake has alot of the same presence that Montana had in San Francisco .

Just a little background information ---

Honestly, he\'s had his head so far up Jake\'s azz for so long I doubt very seriously he want\'s to see Jake lose this Sunday.

He\'s a fan of a PLAYER...not the team. Good research Billy. I\'ve been watching this guy stroke Delhomme from day one. I just wonder if Jake\'s wife know\'s about it?

Everyone please take note of the fact that he didn\'t answer the quetion...

Who will you be rooting for Sunday 08?

:P

Tisk, tisk Saintfan. This is not something I would expect out of you. You\'re making this personal, when in fact, it should be about football. C\'mon man, you\'re stooping here.

You might think so Whodat, but am I really?

The likes of \"me\" have been accused of wearing Brooks blinders, when in fact my point has always been the team shouldn\'t yank Brooks for an unproven commodity ESPECIALLY when his play doesn\'t warrant it. This doesn\'t go back to the injury last year...this goes back to the signing of Aaron Brooks and 08\'s concern about Jake not being able to overtake him for the starting job. It even goes back as far as the signing of Jeff Blake.

I don\'t know about you, but it is my opinion (and I base it on 08\'s posts) that Saintz08\'s only interest in this team is/was Jake Delhomme. Yes, I think he\'ll be pullin\' for the other team this Sunday...you bet I do.

You, sir, know just as well as I that 08 is not fair now nor has he ever been fair in his assesment of Aaron Brooks due largely in part to his agenda and his want for Jake Delhomme to be the starter, and it simply can\'t be based on performance because two years ago when he started all this nonsense there was little info on Jake Delhomme. He had played a decent game against a failing and falling Dallas Cowboys team at the time and THATS IT!

Take a look at the quotes Billy went back and found. You\'ve been around as long as me Whodat, and you\'ve seen it just as I have.

It\'s a serious and legitimate question. WHO will he be rooting for come Sunday?

You\'re RIGHT Whodat, it SHOULD be about football. But it\'s not...not where 08 is concerned. You\'ve watched him twist numbers and partially quote articles. You\'ve also NEVER seem him post ANYTHING postitve about Brooks. Admit that sir...you have not...NOBODY has, because 08 NEVER HAS.

The playing field isn\'t level when you watch 08 compare AB with ANYONE. Surely you won\'t deny that. HE will, but will you? Yeah, it\'s personal, but he has dictated that, not me, so I wanna know...

..who will you be rooting for Saintz08? Come Sunday when your Breaux Bridge buddy takes the feild against OUR Saints, who\'s corner will you be in?

C'mon Man...

If that logic applies to everyone, then maybe some members of the board need to stop cheering for LSU and start pulling for UVA where Brooks went?

Do your History \"BrooksMustGo\". Go get an education and then come back to this thread. Those who have been here for a while know exactly what I mean, whether they like the method I\'m using or not.

Again please notice 08 hasn\'t been back to answer the question...

Some of us do work for a living Saintsfan .....

Now back with an answer for yet another one of your text oriented tirades .

The Saints .

And No I did not root for the 49ers when Ricky Jackson went over there , by mistake . And by the way , Ricky Williams is still a plow horse in my opinion .

Come on now Billy , you can do better then that .

Dig up one where I said Delhomme had better preseason stats then Brooks .

I never knew you to have your head up Jackson\'s azz 08, but Delhomme is quite a different story. I\'m sure your heart is torn.
