I remember as a kid watching the, then, rivalry between the NFC West's New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers. First, the Montana/Rice era followed up with an amazing Young era. The 49ers were truly champions in those days. As I would watch the games, year after year, it always seemed that no matter how hard the Saints played the 49ers would find some way to make that last march down the field for the victory. I recall thinking that was the difference between a championship team and my beloved Saints. So, it was with great ease that I took our victory Monday night while thinking the same thing. That is the difference between just another team and Champions.

My point about the mistakes is that the 9ers played well enough to win throughout most of the game, but made a few key mistakes at bad times that cost them the game. It's not like the game was completely out of reach for them.
Gore is a professional who wants to win and knows he was close to it on Monday. I'd be frustrated too, in his position. |

Here's the thing though. I am sick of hearing that "they beat themselves". A couple of those fumbles were FORCED by saints players. It's not like they were just skipping to the endzone, and OOPS, dropped it on the turf. We beat ourselves, is the ultimate sore loser excuse.

If I seen the same game he(Frank Gore) watched which im sure he did cuz his seat was better than mine...he saw Drew pick apart the 49ers defense down the field to get a game winning field goal...so who gives a F**k what he thinks
