this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This is going strictly on opinion, but I do think that as long as Bush is healthy by week 10 (or possibly even later), you'll be fine. Taking it that I didn't see all 16 (regular season) Saints games last ...

You guys will be OK!

Taking it that I didn't see all 16 (regular season) Saints games last season... it occurred to me that he didn't become the major player he is now till post season. Now don't misunderstand me... this is no disrespect towards Reggie. He stepped up when you needed him most! That's MVP as far as I'm concerned! Then again, maybe it was about what they call "gelling". Everybody including Bush needed to realize what part they play on the team. Yet you guys have an awesome coach to figure it out!!!! Now I'm not telling you this isn't a loss, cause it is. But as an outsider fan... I'm telling you that I'd bet money that you'll still clinch your division and it's a new season from there! |

Oh... forgot to mention, you're 2-0.
The best teams don't play their beast games in week one or two. |

I know Brees is great. You don't have to convince me! I knew he was great when I was present at all 30 regular season home games here in San Diego and 1 post season game. The only question was if he could come back after that freak shoulder injury. He's proven beyond that! I've said it before and I'll say it again... I (and the majority of Chargers fans) are happy for Brees but we're glad he found the success for a class act like the New Orleans Saints! ei: Had he become a Cowpie and had the same success, we would not feel the same way! |

I hate to lose Reggie....I really do. But I think PT will step up. He ran against a tough SF run defense tonight and made some big plays. I dont know much about this Wynn kid but its time to step up dude.

Plus Ivory will be back next week I think. I don't know why everyone is so surprised about Reggie. It is the same story every year, he starts showing flashes of why we drafted him and then gets hurt. We are used to this by now. I think Payton thinks of Reggie like he does Shockey. He knows he is a hell of a player, but only expects to get about half a season out of him. This is fine as long as we have a game plan for when he is out, and seeing how this is not a new occurance I would bet money we do.
