Freak injury... I have no issues with having our most electrifying punt returner, return punts. Now if he were our number 1 tail back getting all the reps back there, I'd have a different opinion on the matter... but he's not and while he'll be missed, we'll survive. It's not like he's been the most healthy guy over the years... our offensive production will not suffer.

sorry but I dont think we will miss Bush's 6 carries for 15 yards and 3 catches for 25 yards too much. He is really just one less weapon he was a big part of our offense but at the same time he wasn't...

I think the loss of Bush hurts you more than you might think. Do you have someone that can take the place of Bush and get the same amount of production?...........No. So therefore your O is less productive. Its got to be. Now is it a big drop off?.....No. But to say that there will be no down side is just silly.

I think one of Paytons fears was realized. He looked very upset when Reggie got hurt. Of course he looked concerned first. He just wanted Reggie in the game to make something happen.

Payton was concerned for the player and the man, but he is the ultimate persona guy and the leader in the war on body language. He was already into plan B mode. He's not going to allow the temporary loss of Reggie to become a head hanger, it will become an opportunity for more Shockey, Thomas, and Moore...double the PT and hedge some Betts. No one can swing a defense like Reggie, but Oh well! His skills will have to rest for awhile and someone else is going to have to step it up because thats what Champions do.
