49ers superbowl Monday Night?
Is it just me, or did the team, as well as the fans, look like they thought they were playing in the superbowl? 2nd game of the season, and you would have thought it was for the Lombardi..... By what I've seen, it looks like they played 100%, where as we were more like 50% at best....

Sweet we get another trophy!!!!
We played fine on D, they gave us the ball back 4 x. SF was lucky the offense is running on 4 cylinders or those TO's would have made it a blow out, and gore loser would have never gotten started because they would be playing from behind, and forced to pass. Its starting to seem like SF is not well coached for that many mental errors to happen. Only bad I saw was gore ran at will, Brees missed passes, we ran to much against a bad secondary, and candlestick park is a slum and needs to be leveled to the ground. ..and yes that was there SB and as QBrees said, they lost. |
Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before. Last edited by pherein; 09-23-2010 at 02:00 AM.. |

Every team we play in the regular season will treat it like their personal Superbowl.
We are the defending champs. We were warned that all our opponents will be hunting for us and that's what is happening so far. As long as we step up on both sides of the ball and make the plays we should be ok! KEEP THE FAITH! GEAUX SAINTS! |

How quickly we forget. Change the uniforms from Monday Night and you have a typical Saints - 49ers game from the Jim Mora Era. Saints hang tough tie the game or worse lead by 2 and leave too much time on the clock. 49ers get the ball with less than 2 minutes, crowd going wild and the 49ers drive the field and get the win!! Nice to be on the other side for a change!!! All that "We outplayed them" "They couldn't handle us" stuff is for the losing team all that matters is SCOREBOARD! Nice feeling going from being the door mat to the foot that stomps on it!!

We can expect every team to be up for us. We have a Superbowl title to defend and everyone is gunning for us. These teams played us us hard. Let's not forget that we haven't played very well in the first two games and we barely won. We won but it wasn't pretty. Every team is going to be studying our film and looking for our weaknesses. Unfortunately, we've already shown just how badly we can play. There is room for improvement and Payton knows it and will make it happen.

We made the plays we HAD TO.
BUT too bad we put ourselves in that position of having to come back. It was great to see Drew pull off the Montana comeback which happened to us so MANY frippen times!! |
