Updated Injury Report - Ivory a "Full go"
New Orleans Saints cornerback Randall Gay was held out of practice again Thursday with a concussion after not being cleared by a specialist. Coach Sean Payton said he will be evaluated again on Friday. But clearly Gay is looking like a long shot to play Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons in the Superdome. Rookie cornerback Patrick Robinson and veteran Leigh Torrence are the top candidates to fill his spot as the nickel back.
Tailback Reggie Bush (leg) and linebacker Anthony Waters (hamstring) also did not practice Thursday. Safety Usama Young was limited with a quad injury. Tailback Chris Ivory (knee) and offensive tackle Zach Strief (knee) were both upgraded to full participants, making it likely that both will be eligible to play Sunday. We might see our rookie first round pick getting some snaps this week, will be interesting to see if hes played at nickel back how he holds up!! |

I'd like to see some more of Ivory, especially at a full clip. He showed great possibilities in the limited views that I had. He may be able to help us. Please hang on to the ball and make us proud.

He ran well at camp, his problem is ball control issues. I'm guessing that he and Payton have had a long talk about his problem with fumbling. If he gets any carries you can bet the Falcons will be going after the ball.

i'm sure we test him early and not in a tight game later. i'm hopeful when and if they give him a shot. he may be that shot in the arm we need after the bush injury. lance moore will get alot of touches. we need him to step up this game period. did anyone see him open monday night ? but not many were open. i think the 9ers had our playbook.
