Maybe the NFL should go on strike!

Maybe the NFL should just go on strike. Seriously, would I know the difference?

I'm in Minny-Lions country and got stuck with that game. Cut costs this year and my Internet isn't high-speed so I ended up watching that game w/ the kids at home. Can't listen to the game cuz my girlfriend who has high-speed internet and Sirius is out of town. And kids have homework to do.

As I saw from updates that the Saints-Falcons was headed into overtime, and the Vikes were killing the clock, I correctly predicted that my patience would be rewarded and they would switch coverage over the Saints-Falcons game (albeit after the Vikes clock read 0:00 and a full battery of commercials).

Fox FINALLY cuts to Saints game in overtime live, just in time to show the Hartley miss. Then they cut to commercial AGAIN. Then the lead FOX guy smugly say they cannot show the rest of the Falcons-Saints OT game in-progress due to "NFL Rules". So then they yap about the Cowboys game for 10 more minutes. Then they show the ATL game winning kick 30 seconds after it happens, because, of course, they can't show it live and showing it 30 seconds later is just so much better, you know, so the announcer can say it's 'no good' as the ball is being snapped.

Just because I don't want to abandon my kids or go bankrupt doesn't mean I should be raped by a FOX.

You want the NFL? Go to the NFL. Oh, too bad.

Man if the NFL ever goes on strike that would be terrible. I love watching all the games, especially the Saints.

At least you got to see a GAME on FOX. Here in Baltimore since the Ravens game was on CBS, FOX didn't broadcast a game until 4 pm. I cannot wait to go home.

Yeah, I've been thinking about it and the NFL has FOX, ESPN, NBC, CBS, DIRECTTV, SIRIUS, NFL Network, EA Sports, radio, ticket prices, concessions prices, upcoming 18-game schedule, the refs and all these other things in their pocket, all to strong-arm and weasel more money out of fans pockets.

I usually don't side with anybody during a sports strike, but I for one am developing a strong urge to side with the NFLPA. And I to some extent hope the strike occurs (although I wish it didn't have to because of the residual effect on local economies and other NFL-related enterprises). The NFL has become such a money-sucking black hole something rash has to be done to put it in check.

I have the same problem here in Charlotte. They show the Panthers game on Fox and don't show the other game. And Buddy D help us if the Panthers are on CBS. Then you get no Fox game cause they won't show another game while the Panthers are on.

I think the fans should go on strike. Is it just me...or, when you're watching the game, does it seem like you get about 2 or 3 minutes of football...followed by 5 minutes of commercials...and then another 2 or 3 minutes...another 5 minutes of commercials.

Another thing...what's the deal with 5 minutes of commercials after a score, then a kick-off, then another 5 minutes of commercials...and they somehow are always synced with the other broadcasts commercials. If we are at a commercial break, you turn the channel, and they are all on commercial break.

It's a conspiracy, I tell ya. Something has to give!

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!
