PANIC BUTTON..........Hold it right there!
The defending Super Bowl champs are 2-1 after three close games, where their 2 wins have been against teams with a combined 1-5 record. They are coming off of a loss to a division rival and probably the only team in the division that will challenge the champs for the division title. So, as every talking head in sports hits the panic button, we fans say "Wait just a second!"
The Saints are 2-1 and tied for first in the division with ATL holding the edge in the head-to-head match-up, however the season is long and the two teams meet again in week 16 for what could be a division settling game. The Saints enter a VERY favorable schedule, and although the mantra is "Any Given Sunday" you have to like the odds in games against CAR (Lead by Jimmy Clausen) ARI (Lead by ........) TB (who showed the Steelers what they are made of) and CLE (I think we all know.) Each of these teams are beatable when the Saints are hitting on all cylinders, and it is a schedule that can help shake the rust off before heading into a torturous part of the season. So, don't push that panic button JUST yet. There is a whole lotta season to go. A loss next week.......................We all may be looking for that big red button. |

No panic, just lost of work to do. Hands drills for Henderson to get him away from that bread basket thing. Fundamental tackling drills for the defense - leave the strip to the 2nd 3rd guy. Set up the run off the pass, and not the other way around. Cut down on the mistakes and up the level of concentration. Let's go to work.

15 and 1, on to the next.. our players wont have a short week this up-coming game and we're going to redeem ourselves by tearing into Carolina.
The game was nearly tied an came down to either team going for a FG and we played our worse game in several games.. We'll bounce back... Atlanta is a good team and they almost lost. |

Here is the deal. We played like absolute garbage, and the Falcons still almost managed to lose. They will not be so lucky next meeting when we have all the kinks worked out and are hitting on all cylinders. Even if it is in their house. If Atlanta is the only team we really have to worry about then I am not worried at all.

I was bummed out for a few hours, but I got over it. The Saints are 2-1. We still have a lot of football left and I still think the offense is trying to find it's groove. How many game are we going to see that Drew throws two pics and we miss a chip shot FG? Not many my friends. We are fine.
