this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I don't think anyone is hitting the panic button, but we do have A LOT to clean up! Offensively, this is the best we've looked all year, but if we can't find the balance on offense we had last year ...

The sky is not falling!
I don't think anyone is hitting the panic button, but we do have A LOT to clean up! Offensively, this is the best we've looked all year, but if we can't find the balance on offense we had last year we might be looking at a long season. We desperately need a running game, and we have got to get better on run defense. One more thing, is it me or are we not taking our shots down field? Were is that quick strike offense? Were the hell is Meachem? Our offense just doesn't look as sharp as it did last season. Just my thoughts.

Unless the game is an absolute rout a lot of games come down to the kicker. Skymike is right we should be 3-0 and The Dirty Birds should have been out of there with a thanks for coming. Question did Coach Payton call a time out or try to call a time out before the FG?

No the sky is not falling but fans are taking shelter anyway.
This isn't the same team that went 13-0 to start last year. We didn't do enough to address DT and LBer during the off season which has slowed us down and with out Sharper and Fujita we are a different team. Also, the Superbowl hangover is hurting us and it might be time for some Alka Setzer. We still have a Championship to defend. Put away the umbrellas! |

IMO, one small positive from all this is at least now, we don't have to worry about going 16-0 and all the unwanted pressure and distractions that a possible 16-0 run can bring. I remember all that from last season and it was just extra hassle that the team didn't need.
