FIRE MIKE McCARTHY!
I didn\'t particularly like McCarthy\'s play calling in the second half. I do think we could have put this game away with better play calling. But, even with the play calling, the opportunities were there to win the game. This game was in the players hands and they just didn\'t make or stop plays when they needed to.

FIRE MIKE McCARTHY!
Play selection on first down in the 2nd half and OT:
Rush: 10 Pass: 3 The 3 pass plays weren\'t exactly encouraging - interception, incomplete pass and a 4-yard pass. The rushing attempts: 6, 0, 9, 2, 2, 1, 8, 1, 3, 3. So Deuce wanted the ball in his hands? Who cares? Horn and Brooks were in a rhythm, but the team was constantly put in a bad situations by the play-calling. Maybe we were outplayed, but with our defense against Davis you cannot play this conservatively clinging to a 17-13 lead. And while I put the blame on McCarthy, isn\'t it partly Haslett\'s responsibility for not demanding a more aggressive approach from his offensive coordinator during the game. Am I totally out of this world with that idea? McCarthy would still call the plays, just with a different mood. |
