One thing that gives me confidence that we will be fine.
In all of these past games that we have lost or eeked out a win we were not beaten by the other team, we beat ourselves. None of these teams have outplayed/outcoached us. We lost because of turnovers, dropped balls, and basically have given these games away. To me this all means that we can turn it around. It would be different if we were playing solid football and were getting beat, but we have not. We know we have the talent and coaching to get it done and I believe we will. We have also been having a streak of bad luck and the ball not bouncing our way. There were several games last year that would have been loses if not for an opportunistic play on defense and some recovered fumbles that could have been anyones ball. Hell we were Super Bowl champs and barely beat the lowly dead last Rams. That being said, if we lose the last two we might as well just lose out and play for the draft pick.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. If we do lose out, though, I could have a heart attack.

Given our recent performances, including the 3 wins, there are lots of reasons to be hopeful. We have not played very good football, and ALL of us know that we are capable of some VERY GOOD football, championship football. If Sean Payton is able to get these guys to hunker down, make some plays, protect the football: 12-4, 11-5, we're into the post-season starting from scratch. But it only happens if they make it happen. Overcoming injuries is part of it; winning with reserves is part of it; and building comfortable leads is part of it. We could wear ourselves out taking games down to the wire every week, especially if we are coming up short. Let's see what we can do against the Bucs. 4-2 would look and feel MUCH better than .500. 7-2 going into the bye week would be awsome.

It's hard for the team to get on a run when they keep shooting themselves in the foot. Self inflicted wounds hurt like hell.

I agree with everything but the playing for the draft pick part. You've got to have heart and try and win every game. You can't ask the superbowl champs to lay down.Play with pride.
