Payton has lengthy list for Saints to correct

After a sloppy 30-20 loss at Arizona on Sunday dropped the Saints to 3-2, they need to reduce their turnovers, run the ball better, be more efficient in the red zone, cover kickoffs better and stop missing chip-shot field goals. That’s a lot to work on before New Orleans visits Tampa Bay on Sunday, but Payton said Monday at his weekly news conference that it doesn’t require a lot of change in how he handles his team. “It’s not time for any chair throwing,” Payton said. “This is a veteran team. We have a smart team. We have a veteran team. Most importantly, the message might shift week to week, but the demeanor in how we teach and how we approach remains the same.” Read the rest here... 2theadvocate.com | Sports | Payton has lengthy list for Saints to correct — Baton Rouge, LA |
