What We Already Found Out About Carter
This was in an article by Dr. Z on the days of the shut-down cornerback:
MOST OVERRATED: Dale Carter, Saints. At one time he was effective in all phases of the game. Now he's OK near the line, but downfield he watches people run away from him. You can find the full article here: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...cks/index.html It's a shame he never really gotten things going for the Saints. |

What We Already Found Out About Carter
Dr Z is an old clueless idiot.
Last article he wrote he used to love watching the Saints-Falcons games because they were always at night and he has fond memories of Kevin Green jumping over the Saints line on a game winning goal line stand. Kevin Green never played for the Falcons or Saints, They\'ve played 2 night games in their existence. Every other expert I\'ve read thinks Carter is having a really good season. How does that imbecile keep his job? |

I have to agree that Dr. Z sounded a bit moronic with that statement about Green...the only thing I can come up with is that he was confused and was thinking Saints/Rams.
However, I\'ll just have to take your word for it that \"every other expert...thinks Carter is having a good season.\" That sounds like a stretch to me, but I\'m no expert. [Don\'t quote me on that!] Also, I can\'t say that Dr. Z is a good judge of talent, but his knowledge of the game is immense and he really has some great ideas and opinions on issues about the way the game is being played. Not to mention he has been around \"forever\" and often brings a historical outlook to his writings. I like that. It helps me to see and understand how the game is evolving which is something I find interesting. |

I think Dale Carter is having a pretty decent season thus far. He may have played a little tentative last week but he still managed to play well. Besides you shouldn\'t forget the fact that he had a metal plate put in his head last month.

I agree that Dale\'s been having a decent season. The problem is he was brought here to be a shut-down type of CB and we haven\'t seen him be anywhere near that good to this point. So, overrated just might be a good moniker for him without disputing that he still possesses adequate skills.

I agree with that assessment completely Scotty, he is not playing poorly but is not a #1 shut down corner any more either. Also Dale is one failed drug test away from banishment from the league, drinking included if he gets poped again he\'s gone.
