Vick took himself out of the game after the Falcons reached the Saints' 29. He said a Saints player hit his left thumb earlier in the quarter and it was swelling. His left shoulder also was bothering him, and he felt nauseous.
"I took myself out because I didn't want to vomit on the field," Vick said. "It's nothing

Vick has got to make it through Baltimore and Pittsburgh before we get another crack at him. We might not play Vick again until next season, unless Reeves decides to rest him.

Don\'t expect anybody to sit Michael Vick. Would you if you owned or coached the team? Yea he\'s good and has attributes never seen in this league but there will always be some defensive co-ordinator to come up with a way to stop him. It will happen because the Falcons don\'t have the team to surround him yet. Yet, is the operative word here.Give the Saints defense 3 weeks and let\'s see what they come up with. And don\'t be too surprised to see someone else lining up at middle linebacker.

Vick won\'t be at 100% vs the Saints. I watched him against Baltimore yesterday. His shoulder and thumb are both giving him problems. The thumb caused him to throw some errant passes and that is why he was finally intercepted this past week. The Ravens popped him a couple of times and put him on his back. I expect Pittsburgh to pound him as well.

One thing I know for sure and certain. With the way he dances around and the way he runs someone is gonna KILL him. He\'s not stout enough to take hit after hit. He\'ll do one of two things...lose the \"happy feat\" or have a very short NFL career.

That\'s what I have been telling these dingy birds fans since day one. The worst thing that could have happened to Vickwas to be drafted by the Falcons. With the Falcons poor offensive line and Vick\'s inexperience it is only a matter of time before Vick suffers a serious injury. He\'s hurt right now (Thumb and both shoulders) There is a reason why pro teams don\'t utilize an option offense. That might work at Nebraska or Virginia tech but it will get your quarterback killed in the NFL.

I don\'t know guys - Vick is incredible. He\'s lightening fast, has good vision, and a strong arm. He makes the jaw dropping moves that I\'ve only seen one other player in the history of the league make - Barry Sanders.

You know what everyone said about Barry. He\'s too small, he\'s not fast enough, yatta yatta yatta. He doesn\'t retire and Emmitt is still two or three thousand yards behind Barry. Vick can very easily be the same. He can break records.

Vick is a great player and will learn fast that if he wants to stay in the league a while he better look at playing his role as quarter back and not running back. He will get away with running for most of the season just like stewart but when they catch him vick will be confussed and off his game. I hope for the saints that comes soon, cause the defense tends to go to sleep when vick puts them in a daze with his feet. The saints need to shadow him to keep him contained and vulnerable to a blind side hit. Good luck Saints

This game will be completely different than the last game. Unless we get banged up in the next two weeks. The defense will be much improved. Vick will be a player to be reckoned with in the future. This guy\'s got game. The redeeming factorr for us this year is he doesn\'t have the supporting cast. The last game we had so many defensive players injured. Look for almost all of the defense to be healthy in Atlanta. Let the games begin!
GO SAINTS!
p.s. The game he played against the Ravens showed he is human. Yes he was injured, but that was his thumb and shoulders. Nothing reported wrong with his legs. And this was a Ravens defence without Ray Lewis.

JoeSam,

Who said his leg was hurt? I think you are referring to the post regarding Farve. It is his thumb and shoulder that are hurt. As far as the comparison between him and barry Sanders, Barry was a running back and Vick plays the QB. Vick touches the ball every play and everyone knows it. Defenses key on the QB he can get hit on any play. On many plays the defense knows exactly where he is going to be. Running backs may or may not touch the ball on a play but the QB most certainly will. Maybe he should consider a move to running back. It may extend his career. An O-line would probably help him more.
