Nope... People are missing the point. If you have children than you know what is like the first week. Mom is still recovering, baby is up every 4 hours to feed, family and friends are visiting and calling to find out information.... It is probably more of a physical stress than a mental stress.
Sleep and naps that first week can be few and far in between. We use a 5 hour flight to an away game as a reason players are tired and road games are difficult. Multiply that by 10X and you have the first week with a new born. Even if you have help or a nanny, a new parent does not sleep worrying and checking on the baby.

I can defend my decision with out smart assed comments. As I stated, my vote and question has nothing to do with his performance this season. If we were 7-0 I would have still benched him because I know his azz would have been worn out from the week.

Nope...don't buy that. I've had 4 kids and the only thing that kept me up was the crying. I do worry about my kids when I have a reason to...but unless I'm mistaken, the baby is fine.

I would think that Drew has a big enough house to find a quiet bedroom, and I know he has enough money to hire help...so I personally don't see how you can use that as an excuse.

From what I have read about his character. He is not one to run to a quiet part of the house. He is one to be right next to the crib, hands on. I have two daughters, 5 and 2, I had children later in life at 37 yo. I was there every minute I was not physically at work.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The fact of the matter is that he looked tired, preformed like he was tired both physically and mentally. I do believe he set his career high for interceptions (he has never thrown 4 interceptions in a single game before), and had one the worst games I have ever seen him have. There is a reason, and I doubt it was because the grocery store was out of his favorite cereal. Just sayin....

.
Sorry, not buying an NFL player dropping the dad card for a bad performance.
My question is, why is his wife having a baby in the middle of the season? Why not plan a little, better, say, for Feb-July? Then he can spend every second with the kid.

I'm not looking to pry into Drew's family life, but like everyone else I'd like to see him focussed on football.
